World Peace Concert Sept 11, 2021

World peace concert in Oak Park September 11

OAK PARK IL - Music & Potlucks, a 501(c)(3) non-profit community  organization will

present an outdoor event, “A World Peace Concert” on Saturday, September 11 at 7:00

pm. The socially-distanced event will feature vocal performances by tenor Bradley

Schuller and soprano Christine Steyer, both of Oak Park, and commemorate the 20th

anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Proceeds from the event will support The Church of Beethoven, a non-Profit

classical music concert series located in the Oak Park area.

“The Church of Beethoven,” said Schuller, who is also the artistic director, “is a

church with no preaching. Just uplifting music, poetry and two-minutes of silence in an

all-too busy world. We’re excited to be partnering with Music & Potlucks for our

fundraising event.”

The Church was established in Oak Park in 2011 offering Sunday morning  classical

music and spoken word performances in a casual setting.

Schuller is a professional operatic tenor and has soloed in over three dozen

productions, with local opera companies and symphonies. He was a member of the

Lyric Opera of Chicago chorus for four seasons and has sung in Italy, Germany and

throughout the United States.

Christine Steyer has distinguished herself as an artist of great versatility. She

received acclaim for her portrayals of the title role in Madame Butterfly and Violetta in

La Traviata. She has sung as a chorister and in several roles in over forty productions at

Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Proceeds from “A World Peace Concert” will support The Church of Beethoven.

Since 2017 Music & Potlucks has been dedicated to nourishing the  community by

presenting cultural events in support of neighbors and organizations facing challenging

circumstances.

Advance tickets are recommended. General admission lawn seating is  $20. VIP

tickets are $30 and include early access to the venue, prime chair placement and a
